Discover Queensland Challenge Terms and Conditions

Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over.

Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

Promotion commences 9am (AEST) Monday 6 April 2020 and closes 11pm (AEST Sunday 7 June 2020).

Eligible entrants must:

Entrants must participate by responding to the Discover Queensland Challenge Posts on Facebook OR sharing their response to the Discover Queensland Challenge Posts on Instagram by tagging @DiscoverQueensland and using the hashtag #DiscoverQueenslandChallenge.

c. Comply with the terms and conditions and all information entered must be valid, complete and accurate. Any invalid, incomplete or inaccurate entries will be automatically disqualified from the competition.

The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of employment and residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these terms and conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

Minimum booking value of $500 is required to be able to redeem your $50 voucher.

One voucher per booking can be redeemed.

Vouchers are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash or other Vouchers.

Please allow a minimum of 5 working days to process the accommodation booking and Entertainment Membership. Prizes are not transferable to any other product and are not redeemable for cash or credit and all components of the prize must be taken together and booked as one package.

Each prize is subject to availability, not valid for travel during peak periods, school holidays, Christmas and New Year periods or during special events.

Any additional expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the prize winner including but not limited to current passports, spending money, transport to and from departure and arrival points, transfers, activities, gratuities, services charges, items of a personal nature, in-room charges, travel insurance, pre and post accommodation, optional activities or excursions, flights and all other ancillary costs.

Altered, lost or stolen certificate will not be replaced, refunded or redeemed. Certificates are not redeemable for cash and must be redeemed before the expiry dates specified and will not be extended.

The winner (and his/her companions) is responsible for ensuring that they have valid travel documentation with them.

Credit card security or a cash bond will be required upon check-in by the accommodation provider. Extra people or room upgrade or week-end stays will incur additional fees.

If for any reason, once the prize has been booked, you do not take the prize or an element of the prize at the time stipulated, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash.

The weekly draws will take place at 11am (AEST) on Tuesday 14 April, Monday 20, 27 April, 4, 11, 18, 25 May, 1 June 2020, with the major draw taking place at 11am (AEST) on Monday 8 June with the eligible winners announced via the Discover Queensland website, Facebook and Instagram Pages. A re-draw will take place if any of the prize winners are not able to be contacted within 7 days of the original draw date.
